About me

Hi! I’m Luis Valdés, a Spanish robotics engineer and creator. I’ve been fortunate to live and study between Spain and France, and it was during my master’s degree that I discovered Japan. Since then, it has become both a passion and a different way of understanding technology more deeply connected to people.

There, I learned that true innovation doesn’t come from machines themselves, but from honest conversations and authentic relationships. That’s why my mission is to create meaningful projects where trust and storytelling come before selling. Innovation is my calling, and robotics is my profession—the medium through which I turn ideas into real-world solutions.

My ideal role is to act as a human, technical, and strategic bridge between Japanese and Western companies, enabling collaborations in robotics and automation that connect cultures and create real impact.

Currently

Robotics Researcher - TECNALIA (2024 - current)

At TECNALIA, I played this role by supporting companies from the early exploration of robotics all the way to the definition of concrete automation proposals, translating business challenges into technically viable solutions.

I’ve worked with cutting-edge robotic technologies and multidisciplinary teams in international environments, acting as an intermediary and manager between engineering, research, and leadership to align vision, technology, and execution.

This experience allows me today to bring a strategic perspective on robotics, combining deep technical expertise with business understanding and strong communication skills.
